Two unforgettable evenings of bold, high-energy celebration showcased both international and British creativity and style, drawing enthusiastic crowds from across Somerset and Bristol. Many described the show as “inspirational,” “vibrant,” and “exactly what Bridgwater has been crying out for.”
With cutting-edge designs from nine international and UK designers, professional staging and lighting, and support from Bridgwater and Taunton College Creative Arts, the catwalk shows delivered a fashion experience unlike anything the town has seen before. Over 200 people attended each night, with many returning for a second helping after being wowed on the first evening.
The atmosphere was electric, with audiences praising the show as “inspiring”, “unexpected”, and “incredible for Bridgwater”. Saturday evening also marked the official unveiling of Blossoming Bridgwater – a new community-led arts initiative celebrating the town’s growth, identity, and future. The project was launched to great enthusiasm from the audience, and added a unique, local flavour to the night’s proceedings.
Bridgwater based designer and Seasons curator, Nathan Slate from the Slate Concept Store in the town said,
“After months of planning, it’s been amazing to see the town light up with creatives and people who appreciate creativity in all forms. It was hard to explain to people how incredible the fashion show would be, but now they people are already asking us to do it again next year!
Jeremy James from the Bridgwater Town Deal added,
“There was a real hunger and anticipation from the audience, so it was lovely to deliver a great show. With such overwhelmingly positive feedback, the buzz from this weekend’s events suggests a bright future for more creative and cultural events in Bridgwater”.
