On Wednesday, (19th October) Oake Manor Golf Club hosted the 3rd Annual Somerset Disability Ball since it was launched in 2018. (It was missed one year due to covid).
Over 280 people from across Somerset attended the event, the majority of whom are living with a disability
Guests enjoyed a delicious two course meal, disco with DJ Dave Lee, live performance by Sventeen, fireworks and many other fun activities.
Supported by the Rotary Club of Taunton this non-profit event is organised in conjunction with Green Days Care Centre who provide, care, support and training for people with disabilities and learning difficulties across Somerset. Green Days’ aim is to ensure that no matter what the barrier, everyone can enjoy their life to the full.
Steve Purchase, Manager at Oake Manor said, “This important event is a highlight in our calendar and a firm favourite with our staff. It is incredibly heart-warming to see everyone having such a brilliant time and we are really proud to be involved.”
Mark Lancaster, Personnel Manager at Green Days added, “We love supporting this event and it’s amazing to see the see the huge enjoyment on everyone faces”.
Ticket price for the event is kept low as a result of sponsorship from the Rotary Club of Taunton, Oake Manor and Carly Press.
