Oake Manor Awarded at South Western Ambulance Service NHS Awards 2024

Oake Manor Golf Club near Taunton was honoured with a Chief Executive's Commendation at the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Awards on November 20, 2024, in Dorchester.

This award recognises the Oake Manor team's lifesaving actions in January 2024, when they saved a businessman who suffered a cardiac arrest on their golf course. The team's quick use of the on-site defibrillator was crucial. With robust emergency training and two on-site defibrillators, Oake Manor continues to prioritise the health and safety of its community, reinforcing its commitment through ongoing training and public safety awareness.

This ongoing commitment was supported by a charity golf event by The Acorn Golf Society, raising £4375 for Devon Air Ambulance, who attended the cardiac arrest back in November 2024.
