Daffodil PR was appointed as the PR partner for the high-profile re-launch of Pitcher & Piano in Taunton, following a £500,000 refurbishment and a period of disrupted trade due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The brief was clear: rebuild relationships, reignite local interest, and ensure the revamped venue re-opened with impact.

What we delivered
Comprehensive launch strategy
Working closely with Marston’s national PR and marketing teams, we developed a detailed plan to showcase the transformed venue, rebuild customer loyalty, and strengthen relationships with the local community, suppliers and media.
VIP, influencer and stakeholder invitation list
We created a curated list of key guests, including local dignitaries, relevant influencers, business leaders, and respected community figures, ensuring a strong turnout and wide-reaching visibility.
Event planning & delivery
We sourced and coordinated entertainment, arranged goody bag items from local suppliers, and worked hand-in-hand with the Pitcher & Piano team to deliver a vibrant and successful launch party that reflected the brand’s refreshed identity.
Media relations & positive coverage
Through targeted outreach and on-the-night facilitation, we secured positive media coverage highlighting the investment, new look and renewed offer of the venue.
Social media support
To build momentum ahead of the event and sustain interest afterwards, we worked with the local Pitcher & Piano team to support and enhance their social media activity, improving engagement and maintaining a consistent, upbeat brand presence.
