Major refurb underway for Taunton’s Pitcher & Piano

A major refurbishment programme is underway on the Pitcher & Piano in Taunton.

Piano & Piano submitted a planning application with Somerset West and Taunton Council in November 2021, and the major upgrade works totalling over £550k have now started with the new-look venue which is set to be unveiled at a grand re-opening party in early March.

One of almost 20 Pitcher & Pianos across the country, Pitcher and Piano Taunton is located in the town’s iconic ‘Old Library’ building on Corporation Street, just off the town centre. The new-look venue will boast a vibrant, modern and contemporary interior featuring neon signage, a photo booth, new seating and more. P&P Taunton will be the perfect place to start a party!

A warm welcome also awaits customers in the upgraded outdoor eating/drinking areas which are perfect for a spot of outside socialising.

P&P Taunton is a luxury space where people can unwind and enjoy time with friends and family members. Famed for its fun and vibrant atmosphere, the impressive, revamped bar will stock an extensive selection of wine, spirits and sharing cocktails. As well as the much-loved classics, trained mixologists will be creating some very exciting new cocktail combinations.

As well the return of their legendary bottomless brunches, diners at P&P Taunton can expect a fabulous all-day menu, with a delicious food offering from tasty breakfasts right through to delicious dinners.

Geoff Webber, Head of Operations of Pitcher & Piano, said:

“We’re thrilled to be doing a major refurbishment and upgrade of P&P in Taunton. Taunton is a great town, steeped in history and the iconic Old Library building offers a unique character both inside and out. We wanted to invest in our Taunton venue, which currently is the only Pitcher and Piano in the South West, south of Bristol. This major upgrade will bring P&P Taunton in line with our other beautifully designed Pitcher and Piano venues across the country.
